MOKOMENE : The mother of the 18-year-old Modjadji Thoka from Mokomene village in Botlokwa under Molemole Municipality

says there won’t be any funeral until the missing parts of her body are found.

She was speaking to the media at the house in Mokomene on Friday.

The mother of the deceased, Ntseta Thoka says they will not bury an incomplete body as this would mean they have to exhume the body if the missing parts are found after the funeral.

“If we bury now with the missing body parts and they are found later this will mean that they must exhume her body for reburial. This will be a heart-wrenching experience” she said

The lifeless body of the 18-year-old was found mutilated on Monday in an abandoned house in the area.

To add salt to the wound, the lifeless body was found without a head, hands and breasts.

This has forced the family to not go ahead with the funeral arrangements.

Modjadji was last seen alive when she informed her family that she was going to the Spaza shop at around 7 pm on Friday, the 5th of January.

Her mother says when her daughter didn’t return and her phone was off she assumed she went to visit her friend. She says on Monday as she was preparing to go to open a missing person’s case she was called by one of the residents to come to the abandoned house where her child’s body was found with missing body parts.
