This after Amajimbos suffered an embarrassing 5 – 0 defeat to tournament favourites Senegal in an encounter played at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.

The defeat sees South Africa miss out on the 2023 Under 17 FIFA World Cup to be held in Argentina later this year.

Dan village-born star, Vicky Mkhawana has certainly caught a lot of eyes following an impressive display in the tournament, netting 3 goals in the tournament.

This 17 – year old is one of the standout performers in the South African team and the tournament with his lightning pace and eye for goal.

Mkhawana will return to the country to focus on Kaizer Chiefs as he looks to break into the first team after catching the eye of the head coach of the Senior team, Arthur Zwane.
