SEKGOSESE– It was all joy for the Maselesele family when they were reunited with their loved one, Mahlao Muriel Maselesele who went missing on December 30.
The South African Police Service made a break through in locating a missing mentally challenged woman from Sephukubje village, in Sekgosese.
It is alleged that Maselesele left home on 30 December 2020 without informing anyone where she was going. Her family began to worry when she didn’t come home on that day. They frantically started calling friends and other family members to find out if she was with any of them. When they failed to trace her, police were alerted of her disappearance and a search operation was immediately conducted.
A community member called the police on 03 January 2021 with information that she was seen. The police responded swiftly and Mohlao was found with no injuries and looking healthy. She was re-united with her family. The police expressed gratitude to the community for assisting with information.
