POLOKWANE- It has been jubilations throughout the day as the newly crowned Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida visits her home province of Limpopo for the first time since she was crowned three weeks back in Cape Town. As part of the homecoming, the first stop was at Meropa Casino Hotel in Polokwane where she had breakfast with Premier Stanley Chupu Mathabatha and his executive.
When she ascended the stage to address those in attendance, she continued to speak passionately about Mental Health issues which the province has pledged to support her tackling, even beyond her reign as Miss South Africa.
” As the Limpopo Provincial government, working together with our districts and local municipalities, we pledge our commitment to systematically support Shudufhadzo in her future endeavours”. Said the Premier
She continued to thank the Province for the messages of support she received since the beginning of her Miss South Africa journey until she was crowned. She reminded women to remain true to who they are, and that anyone can achieve their dreams regardless of their rural background.
“I am very proud to be here today and as a representative of so many young girls that have dreams. Don’t limit yourself based on your rural and poor background believe in the power of possibilities”. Shudufhadzo Musida
Shudufhadzo holds Bachelor of Social Sciences in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pretoria and will soon graduate from University of Witwatersrand with Honours Degree in International Relations. Ms. Musida requested the Premier and his executive to grace her graduation ceremony which will soon take place.
From the capital city of Limpopo, Polokwane, Miss South Africa will proceed with her homecoming tour to her village of Ha-Vhangani in the Vhembe district where she will spend the entire weekend with her family and the community before heading back to Johannesburg where she is currently based.
