Makgopa, who was born and raised Lenyenye, plays the role of a nurse called Selewa on the e.tv soapie, Scandal where she has captivated audiences by speaking Khelobedu.
TimesLIVE reports that Mokokobale was shy to speak Khelobedu when she was growing up because she was afraid of being seen as different.
But now, her love of the language has seen her grab the attention of SA.
She wants to use her character to address and break the stereotypes that cling to her mother tongue.
