KGAPANE – Katlego Lebepe, a standout learner from Makala Secondary School in Greater Letaba Municipality, has achieved exceptional academic success, securing a remarkable 92.2% overall performance in his matric exams.
With distinctions across all his subjects, Katlego’s hard work and dedication have rightfully earned him a top spot, making him eligible for the prestigious mayoral bursary.
In a heartwarming celebration of academic excellence, Katlego was honored by Greater Letaba Municipality’s Mayor, Cllr Dagma Mamanyoha, at a special breakfast event held at Shidila Lodge today.
The occasion was a testament to the municipality’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding outstanding academic achievements within the community.
During the event, Mayor Mamanyoha praised Katlego for his hard work and discipline, emphasizing the importance of education as a key to shaping the future.
She presented him with a tablet and a generous R10,000 voucher in recognition of his stellar performance. “Your dedication is an inspiration to the entire community,” said Mayor Mamanyoha. “You have shown that with focus and determination, great things are possible.”
In his gratitude, Katlego thanked the mayor and the municipality for their support. “I am humbled by this recognition, and I promise to continue working hard as I pursue my future studies.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way,” he said, visibly moved by the honors bestowed upon him.
