The Limpopo MEC for Department of Education, Polly Boshielo is saddened by the passing of another grade 12 learner, a few days after the reported killing of a female learner. Information provided to the Department is that the learner committed suicide over the weekend.
The grade 12 boy was a learner at Ntlagene Secondary School, Botshabelo village in Greater Letaba Municipality.
“We are most saddened by this tragic news. This is a great loss to us and a point of concern, especially now when we are gearing our matriculants for their preparatory examinations. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and school mates”, said MEC Boshielo
This sorrowful incident happens while the sector still trying to come to terms with the reported killing of a grade 12 female learner from Ebenezer High School in Mokopane. MEC Boshielo visited her home today and will join family and friends on Wednesday as they lay her to rest.
