THE OAKS VILLAGE- The Maruleng Local Mayor, Cllr Happy Thobejane has on Friday relaunched the Maruleng Local AIDS council and motivated matriculants ahead of the coming final year examinations.
The relaunch took place at The Oaks Community Hall and was attended by councillors and various stakeholders.
The Mayor emphasized the importance of the council in ensuring widespread and sustainable response to HIV & AIDS at the local level.
“It is important for the Municipality to ensure this council remains functional and contributes to drastically reducing the spread of HIV and AIDS and preventing new infections, especially amongst the youth, ” said the Mayor.
The mayor further motivated learners at Leoma Secondary School in Finale, to focus on their studies and to adequately prepare for their upcoming national final examinations.
