Councillor Sefufi, the MMC for Water at Mopani District Municipality addresses the community and asked them not to destroy their own property. Destroying road because you want water, tomorrow they will be complaining about potholes tomorrow.

Residents are also complaining about water tankers in their area. Complaining that the water is not clean but Councillor Sefufi promised that water tankers are supplying clean water as inspectors do check and make sure that the community gets clean water supply from the water tankers.

“A visit to the plant will be undertaken, and we will proceed to the valves, and open the valves because it looks like some people have closed the valves because they also have water shortages. So, it is going to be fixed by opening the valves that were closed.

“There will be discussions between Eskom, Greater Tzaneen Municipality and Mopani District Municipality about the possibility of fixing the water crisis.
