Matsulu residents feast on elephant

MATSULU-Villagers wielding pangas, grinders and knives slaughtered an elephants that was shot dead after escaping from the Kruger National Park.

Residents of Matsulu feasted the elephant killed by provincial authorities on Sunday.

In a video taken at the scene where the elephants were killed, people could be seen skinning the animals.

Community members were concerned for their safety, and said the elephants ruined their property.

The residents threatened to strike and close the roads because the issue was not being addressed.
