Massive Manhunt Launched for Most Wanted dangerous Criminal, Lovemore Musoyi

POLOKWANE-The South African Police Service (SAPS) detectives in the Sekhukhune District have intensified efforts to capture the most wanted suspect, Lovemore Musoyi.

The 35-year-old Zimbabwean national is implicated in more than 10 serious criminal cases spanning Elandskraal, Motetema, Dennilton, and Rakgoadi policing areas.

Musoyi’s extensive criminal record includes charges of murder, attempted murder, armed robberies, house robberies, business robberies, kidnapping, assaults, stock theft, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

One of the most recent incidents involving Musoyi took place on June 20, 2024, at approximately 19:45. Musoyi and his accomplices executed a brazen robbery at a tuck shop in Mafisheng village. During the robbery, Musoyi brutally assaulted a male victim with an axe, accusing him of betrayal. The assailants then looted the shop, stealing cash and soft drinks before making their escape.

Another alarming incident occurred on January 1, 2023, when Musoyi managed to escape from a police vehicle at Moutse Mall in Dennilton while being transported to Witbank Correctional Services. His two accomplices, who also escaped, were later re-arrested, but Musoyi remains at large.

On February 2, 2024, Musoyi was involved in a violent confrontation at his ex-girlfriend’s home. During the altercation, he shot her brother in the mouth before fleeing with a television set.

Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, has directed a specialized team of investigators to ramp up efforts to locate and apprehend Musoyi. The public is urged to provide any information that may lead to his capture and ensure he faces justice.
