FLORA PARK-A farmer in Tzaneen recently captured a massive python on his farm. He is of the belief that the reptile is a permanent resident in the river located on his farm near Florah Park, Tzaneen.
Python is a genus of constricting snakes in the pythonidae family native to the tropics and sub-tropics of the Eastern hemisphere.
According to the farmer, who doesn’t want to be named, the snake has been a frequent visitor at the river supposedly to come and quench its thirst.
He further stated that the snake is unprovocative because it has not posed any danger or instigated any threat thus far.
“I steer clear of the snake when I spot it to avoid aggravating it. I am alerted by my dogs when it’s in the vicinity because they fear It. They run into hiding with their tales tugged between their legs when they see it. Nonetheless I don’t mind sharing my space with it. It’s harmless “, He said.
