Maruleng local Municipality Mayor Cllr Tsheko Musolwa had on Saturday, the 27th of May 2023 led a hike with the mayor in collaboration with Maruleng Hiking Club, Tzaneen Hiking Club and Leboeng Hiking Club.
The Newly inaugurated Kgoshi Sekororo hosted the hikers at the Sekororo Tribal Offices before they depart.
Mayor Musolwa congratulated the Maruleng hiking club for growing in libs and bounds as it brings social cohesion amongst the people of Maruleng.
He encouraged them to continue to do good work. Mayor Musolwa says he is always living a healthy lifestyle as recently he joined the Capricorn District Marathon in Polokwane and also played soccer games during the local tournament organised by Maruleng municipality.
He says a healthy lifestyle and clean governance go together as you cannot have a mayor who is perpetually hospitalised as that affects service delivery.
He promised the people of Maruleng that by the end of his term in 2026, Maruleng will have a new town that has a shopping complex and bond houses.
He says this is a proposal they have sent to Limpopo provincial treasury for approval.
