LENYENYE – The Mabunda family breathed a huge sigh of relief as a long court case involving Mark Scott-Crossley and Silence Mabunda nears its conclusion.
This as Scott-Crossley was found guilty by the Lenyenye Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
The accused was found guilty of the attempted murder of Silence Mabunda as well as malicious property damage.
The 38-year-old Mabunda sustained severe injuries after he was run over by a 4×4 bakkie which was driven by Mark Scott-Crossley following an argument.
The incident took place at Campus Res in Hoedspruit back in 2016, where Scott-Crossley also caused damage to property by driving recklessly on the said night.
Scott-Crossley also crushed and damaged a cell phone belonging to Mabunda during the verbal altercation.
The court will hand over a sentence to Scott-Crossley on the 30th of October.
