POLOKWANE- Baroka FC coach Kgoloko Thobejane may not have had as many new players as he’d have liked in the transfer window, but in Ntiyiso Bombi he has a shining star that he can shape and mould into a PSL star.
Having made his debut for Bakgaga on February 11, becoming one of the youngest Premier League exciting player at 19 years, Bombi is on the cusp of becoming a first-team regular.
The 19-year-old speedy Middlefield says he developed the love for football at a tender age from watching amateur football in his home village at Mariveni in Greater Tzaneen. The passion inevitably grew from there. Needless to say, he began to pursue opportunities through trials until he was scouted by Marumo Gallants DStv Diski Challenge where he scored 5 goals.
“However, my big break came when Baroka FC signed me. It has only been a few weeks with the team but I am learning a lot. Fortunately for me, there were no stumbling blocks along the way or challenges I can pin-point. The experience has been great thus far”. He said.
The Tzaneen Rising teenager star had signed a three-year deal with an option for two more seasons.
He is currently adding to the attacking options for strugglers Baroka, who are currently trailing at the bottom of the PSL table with five games to go.

The talented skipper told Tzaneen Voice that, although the journey has not been a challenging one, he continues to master his craft. He emphasized that, aspiring soccer players must have discipline and work hard because nothing comes easy.
“Being selected as man of the match after scoring brace in a diski challenge scored me big points and has earned me respect in my circles. My family and friends are my biggest cheer leaders”. Bombi continued.
Furthermore, he encouraged young people to never lose focus and to work on themselves and hone their skills while they are waiting for breakthroughs.
Bakgaga will battle against Cape Town City on April 03 at Cape Town Stadium.
