Manhunt for arsonists after Bolobedu Taxi Association (BUTA) offices and multiple vehicles worth over 2 million torched in Kgapane

KGAPANE-Police in Bolobedu have launched a manhunt for suspects who allegedly set alight Bolobedu Taxi Association (BUTA) offices and multiple vehicles which were parked on the premises alight and fled the scene in Kgapane, Greater Letaba.

The incident is reported to have happened on Saturday, May 20.

Reports indicate that a 32-year-old security officer was on duty when he saw flames coming from the yard and went to investigate.

Upon investigation, he discovered that the property was on fire. The police and Emergency Fire Brigade were alerted. They responded swiftly and managed to contain the fire.

A case of malicious damage to property has been opened and, thus, the police appeal to anyone with information regarding the suspect/s to contact branch Commander  Colonel Marius Botha on 082 469 2937, or contact the crime stop number 08260010111 or the MySAPSApp
