GIYANI-A 29-year-old man was stabbed multiple times and stoned to death on Sunday, November 20 while protecting his girlfriend at Homu 14B under Greater Giyani.
According to Giyani Police Communication Officer Sergeant Ridgewell Rikhotso, the victim was taking a walk with his five friends when they were approached by the suspect who forcibly took his girlfriend and dragged her to his house.
The victim followed the suspect home to rescue his girlfriend, and he was attacked, stabbed repeatedly, and stoned to death.
The victim was identified as Xichavo N’wandzule.
A murder case was opened at the Giyani Police Station, and a 25-year-old suspect was arrested and is due to appear in the Giyani Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, November 22.
