Man on the Run for Allegedly Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend to Death in Nkowankowa

NKOWANKOWA – Police in Ritavi, under the Mopani District, have launched a manhunt for a suspect accused of brutally stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death in Nkowankowa on Monday, 21 April 2025.

According to police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, officers on routine patrol were alerted to a murder incident at Letaba Hospital and responded immediately.

Upon arrival, they were shown the lifeless body of a 44-year-old woman who had sustained multiple stab wounds to her upper body.

She had been brought to the hospital by a relative but tragically succumbed to her injuries on arrival.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim, identified as Mihloti Faith Shikhibana, had been attacked at her home in Nkowankowa by her ex-boyfriend, who used a sharp object in the assault.

The suspect fled the scene and is currently on the run.

Police have now named Victor Hlayisani Shivambu, a resident in the Malamulele policing area, as a person of interest. Authorities are appealing to him to present himself at the nearest police station, as his cooperation may assist in resolving the case.
