PHALABORWA-A 49-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash on R71 Phalaborwa on Saturday morning.
It is alleged that the driver of a white Ford Ranger bakkie lost control and hit a tree near Ingwe Park just after 05h30 a.m.
While the cause of the crash is still unclear, emergency services arrived on the scene they found a bakkie had crashed into a tree, a male driver was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival by the paramedics
According to Phalaborwa-based journalist Desmond Ndlovu, the SAPS Accident Investigation Unit were on the scene for further investigations.
