RITA-Last night at around 21H00, a 29-year-old man from Tickyline was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident on the R36 near Maake Plaza.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man lying in the middle of the road. Medics assessed the patient and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The man was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Dr. CN Phatudi Hospital for urgent care.
The vehicle that had struck the man was not found on the scene but according to the eyewitness the vehicle left the scene with a damaged left mirror.
Police appeal to anyone who sees a white polo with a broken left side mirror in the area to immediately contact the crime stop or the nearest police.
Local authorities are busy investigating this incident.
