NAMAKGALE -A 52 years old man allegedly took his own life by cutting his throat with a grinder in their house in Namakgale Zone A on Tuesday, February 14 at about 08:00.
Preliminary investigation conducted by the Police at the scene indicated that the father of the deceased allegedly heard the sound of a grinder in his (deceased) bedroom and went to investigate. He was reportedly surprised to find his son busy cutting his throat with a grinder and apparently tried in vain to wrestle it from him but failed. He then went out to call for help from the neighbours but on his return they found him gasping and later died.
The motive for this incident will be determined by the unfolding investigations.
The Police in Namakgale have opened a case of the inquest and urged people to seek assistance when experiencing challenges in life and desist from resorting to taking lives.
