RELELA: A 55-year-old man was arrested by Tzaneen Police following the rape of his 11-year-old niece at Relela village, Bolodedu South.
The man allegedly raped the niece on Saturday, August 13 at his house and gave her a R10 note to buy her silence.
With the intervention of her trusted teacher, the minor broke her silence and confessed to her 32-year-old mother about the alleged rape.
A case of rape was then opened and the suspect was arrested today.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court in Kgapane on Wednesday.
