MOHLALETSI: Economic Freedom Fighters Leader, Julius Malema celebrated his birthday with a visit to the Bapedi Royal House in Mohlaletsi.
Malema paid a courtesy visit to regent Queen, Manyaku Thulare at the Bapedi Royal House in Mohlaletsi Village.
Celebrating his 42nd birthday, Malema handed over a borehole to help alleviate water challenges in the area.
The EFF Commander in Chief also gifted the Queen mother with a brand new Toyota Bakkie.
Handing over the key to the car to the Bapedi Queen, Manyaku Thulare on Friday said the car will aid the Queen in all of her duties.
In his speech, EFF President Julius Malema encouraged the Bapedi nation to unite as their unity will make the companies mining in Sekhukhune implement their social labour plans effectively. He further said Sekhukhune has a lot of minerals but it is not benefiting from them. He concluded by saying that Johannesburg was started and developed by the mines and the mines in Sekhukhune can also play a huge role in developing the area.
The Queen in turn blessed the EFF President Julias Malema with traditional Bapedi attire, affirming that he is a son of the Bapedi Nation.
