NELSPRUIT: Ndivhudzannyi ‘Makhadzi’ Ralivhona paid tribute to Open Mic Productions during the Metro FM Music Awards at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday night.

This was after Makhadzi won her first MMA in the best female award.

The 26 – year old, who is currently trying to break away from the record label, took to the stage to accept her award and thanked Open Mic Productions for the ‘great things’ they achieved together.

Speaking backstage with Somizi Mhlongo, Makhadzi was asked what she had to say to Open Mic after the win.

‘Growing up, my mother used to tell me that no matter what may happen, I shouldn’t forget what other people did for me,’ said the Award-winning artist

‘The working relationship with Open Mic was great but the contract has ended and I just want my money,’ Makhadzi giggled.

With Open Mic Productions adamant that Makhadzi’s contract had an auto-renew clause, the Milandu Bhe hitmaker insists that she didn’t see the clause and copy of the contract.

Makhadzi has also promised her fans that her newly released single ‘Niazwifha’ will be back on YouTube after Open Mic Productions took down the song over a copyright claim.
