MOTJETENE VILLAGE-In observance of Mandela month, Maake Plaza has identified a family that will be gifted with a newly built house this Mandela month.

Mme Mahadane (56 ) received a brand new fully furnished house including a Jojo tank which was handed over on Tuesday at Motjetene village under Ntona Lepulana in Greater Tzaneen.

The family says they are thankful to the community for alerting Maake Plaza about the extreme conditions they were living in.

According to Maake Plaza centre manager Ori Mbedzi, this was a demonstration that as a caring Shopping centre they can reach out to all citizens of Greater Tzaneen and surrounding areas.

“In our drive to bring change for good in our communities this Mandela month, we have identified this family that we feel needs a helping hand. We have built them a proper house. We believe in the spirit of Ubuntu. We believe that it takes every little gesture to bring change in the lives of someone else”.

“Today, we are happy that a commitment that was made earlier this year to build the family a proper housing environment has been fulfilled.

“We are mostly thankful to the community for making us aware of the situation,” says Mbedzi

The woman was living under disturbing conditions in a shack with her family. She has never owned a proper house.

She says: “Finally! I’m relieved that I will be staying in a house of my own.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and my family from the beginning.”

“Today the family is receiving this house inspired by the spirit and the character of Tata Nelson Mandela, who always taught that human solidarity is important and that at all times we must be at service to the people,” concluded Mbedzi #TzaneenVoice
