LTA launch “The Limpopo, The Province of Two Summers” campaign

The Chairperson of Limpopo Tourism Agency, Mr Andrew Dipela  officially launched the Limpopo Winter Campaign at Mopani Camp inside the Kruger National Park on Friday 26 May.

The campaign capitalises on tourist destinations in the province that are known for their relatively warmer weather during the winter season

Dipela encouraged stakeholders to design packages that will help to bring more feet into Limpopo.

The Chairperson also announced that Limpopo is currently in the first place in the whole of South Africa with Domestic arrivals and is currently in 2nd place regarding the international arrivals.

This is one of the Four Seasons Campaign to promote Limpopo as a viable tourist destination both locally and the rest of the world making it top of the mind and memorable for tourists holiday makers with so much to offer.

It was further mentioned during the launch that Limpopo is a destination unlike any other in the country and the world over because it is diverse, attractive and a safe place for travellers.

Limpopo Tourism Agency CEO Moses Ngobeni says we take this as an opportunity to roll out the winter campaign differently to achieve more by enhancing stakeholder relations which were not possible during the lockdown.

The tourism agency also aims to increase the number of visitors at the Kruger National Park who use the three gates that are located in Limpopo, instead of the Mpumalanga gates. They say 70% of the Kruger National Park is located in Limpopo, while only 30% lies in Mpumalanga.

He further said they are confident that this campaign will yield positive results.
