- BOYNE-Today, Limpopo Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba joined thousands of pilgrims at Boyne, Moria, to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the St. Engenas Zion Christian Church (ZCC).
This significant gathering saw pilgrims from across South Africa and various parts of the African continent converge at this spiritual epicenter, honoring a century of the church’s rich legacy and its ongoing influence in shaping both faith and society.
The Premier was accompanied by key government officials, including the Speaker of the Legislature, Ms. Makoma Makhurupetje; Deputy Speaker Ms. Tebogo Mamorobela; MEC for Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure Mr. Ernest Rachoene; MEC for Sports, Arts, and Culture Mr. Jerry Maseko; and MEC for Agriculture Ms. Nakedi Kekana.
Their presence underscored the occasion’s significance, highlighting the deep connection between government leadership and the influential role of faith-based institutions in promoting societal values.
Premier Dr. Ramathuba extended heartfelt wishes for a successful and joyous centennial celebration, recognizing the profound spiritual and social contributions of the St. Engenas ZCC over the past century.
“As we gather to celebrate this momentous 100-year milestone, we reflect on the enduring leadership of His Grace, Bishop Dr. Engenas Lekganyane, whose church has consistently provided invaluable spiritual counsel and support not only to its congregation but also to the broader society and government,” remarked Premier Dr. Ramathuba.
