TZANEEN- The Limpopo Podcast has bagged the biggest sponsorship deal in its two-years of existence with South Africa-based music streaming app My Muze, which is owned by Vodacom.
Although the deal’s value and its duration wasn’t disclosed, Limpopo Podcast’s deal with the mobile giant Vodacom’s My Muze, will give the local podcast a credible brand association and further widen its reach beyond the country.
The Vodacom My Muze is a music streaming App which has millions of downloads, whereby a subscribed user can access, download and play music. The deal’s agreement is that Limpopo podcast’s content will now be streamed on My Muze App in an audio form without a video.
Speaking to Tzaneen Voice Omee Otis, owner and host of Limpopo Podcast said the Vodacom’s My Muze team approached him last year and after mutual negotiations, they then sealed the deal in December 2022.
“The deal with Vodacom is the right force of attraction for other bigger brands to associate with us and it will further enable our local cultures and stories to be distributed to the world” Otis said.
The Limpopo Podcaster further said the bigger plan is for the podcast to have more than one show, which will give people a platform and possible job opportunities.
It was further explained that since its establishment in 2021, the Podcast has grown from strength to strength by giving a platform to both emerging and established personalities in the entertainment industry.
