TZANEEN-The Tzaneen magistrate court had on Monday; June 20 handed a lengthy sentence to the Coach House serial rapist ending his reign of terror.
Matome Oakney Seale (30) will serve an effective 20 years behind bars for a spate of rapes and robberies.
It is alleged that in August 2020 the then 28-year-old Seale lured his 7 unsuspecting female victims on different dates with the promise of employment on facebook.
He would then meet them at Nkowankowa R36 four way known as Letaba cross and lead them towards the Coach House side where he would say they are going to work and along the way he would threaten them with a butcher knife and Rob them of their handbags, cash and cell phones.
Two of his victims were not so lucky because he robbed and also raped them.
An intense investigation followed and Sgt Glenda Mathebula of Tzaneen FCS was assigned to investigate the cases.
The suspect was finally apprehended in September 2020 at his home in Lephepane village in possession of the victims’s stolen handbags, cellphones, IDs and their matric certificates.
