LENYENYE-More than 50 people gathered in front of the Lenyenye Magistrate’s Court, on Wednesday, in peaceful protest for the bail application of four men including a tavern owner arrested for the murder of two men in December 2022.
It is alleged that in December last year, the tavern owner and his Co-accused murdered two men after they were accused of killing one of the tavern owner’s bodyguards and leaving the other one injured.. it has been said that the 2 men have been killed were among the 12 that are accused of terrorizing the community of lephepane.
The community gathered last a week on Wednesday, January 11 demanding bail for the four accused but they were denied bail …today they appeared again at the lenyenye magistrate for a bail hearing.
