LENYENYE- It has been reported that a 27-year-old pregnant woman gave birth on her own at Lenyenye clinic, Greater Tzaneen. According to witnesses, the incident occurred today, Monday morning at around 06:00am.
A concerned patient who spoke to Tzaneen Voice anonymously said that the ambulance turnaround time is worrisome.
It was further reported that the woman was accompanied by her younger brother, hoping that she will be transported to Dr. CN Phatudi hospital. However, upon arrival at the clinic, she was not assisted, it was also reported that she had to wait for a long time to get assistance but that never happened until she gave birth by herself at the premises.
It was further mentioned that the woman was fortunate enough to have given birth naturally before the ambulance arrived.
Nurses and other relevant personnel took over and the mother and her newborn baby are believed to be in good health.
