TZANEEN- The venerated Mokgolobotho-born superstar King Monada has announced that he and his brothers will pledge R150 000 towards the emerging Tzaneen-based Podcast, which his long-time rival, Omme Otis deems it as an act to spite him.
A few hours after the popular Bolobedu Tik-toker, Appreciate Makhubele announced a new rival local Podcast called ‘ One Awa Show With Us’, Monada wasted no time to reignite his beef with Omme Otis, who is the owner and host to a local popular Podcast ‘Limpopo Podcast’ by pledging a hefty amount of R150k to the pockets of Omme‘s former Co-Host.
On Wednesday, 12 October, Appreciate took to Facebook to announce his split from Limpopo Podcast week after the interview with “Queen Minaj” and a few days later he announced a new podcast which will compete with his former employers, Limpopo Podcast.
While quoting Isaiah 8 verse 10, Omme Otis said he saw this coming for the longest time and was not surprised that the person who was working with him sold him to the highest bidder, who was in a continuous war with him.
” Of course, this is an act to spite me, especially if you can check the person who is sponsoring this. I hope they know what they are doing and I wish them luck” Omme said.
Makhubele said his resignation comes after many challenges which led to the division amongst the podcast’s crew.
“The formation of ” One Awa Show With Us” is not an indication of beef between Omme and me. After I resigned from that Podcast I received lots of calls from people encouraging me to start my own thing”.Makhubele said.
When asked about Monada’s R150k pledge, without trying to drag himself into Monada’s motive, Makhubela said ” when I learnt about it on Facebook, I was shocked and surprised because it was something I never expected he could do for me and appreciate him for fulfilling my dreams “.

Although he hasn’t received the R150k donation, he said it will assist in buying equipment and hiring technical staff and the remaining of it will be donated to needy communities.
Besides Monada’s pledge, Makhubele said he has other sponsors lined up such as ‘Barolong Crew’, which plays a fundamental role towards the upliftment of his brand.
Makhubele said his new podcast will focus on building local artists, street talks and conversations around sex issues, depression, and health.
