LEBOWAKGOMO -The family of little Motheo Rashilo says they are relieved after she was laid to rest in an emotional send-off on Thursday, June 14 at Ga-Seloane village in Lebowakgomo.
Motheo’s mother Thebe Rashilo says since the day Motheo’s body was found six months ago, the family has been struggling to continue with their lives.
Her body was still at the mortuary waiting for forensics to conduct tests on her to confirm that they are indeed related.
They are now relieved because they have finally laid her to rest with the dignity she deserves.
The body of 21-month-old Motheo was found in the bushes near Màlatane Village on 02 November 2022 after she was reported missing on October 28.
She was allegedly left in the care of a family friend while she ran errands.
When the mother returned, she was informed that the child had disappeared.
Consequently, the mother reported the matter to Lebowakgomo Police Station.
Friends, family, and neighbours gathered at the home of Motheo Rashilo to comfort the grieving family.
Speaker after speaker expressed their concern about the safety of kids in this country, considering that Motheo was not the first child in the Province to be abducted and killed.

Cornelia Kobus and Ryan scarterfied from Thabaletsi Tombstones in Tzaneen were also present to pay their tribute by donating a tombstone to the family.
The family did not give the details of how far the case was but they referred this publication to the Police.
An effort to get an rupdate from the police drew a blank.
