GA-SEKORORO MOŠATE-Kgoši Matshengoane Shane Sekororo was inaugurated as the new kgoši ya banareng baga Sekororo by The MEC for Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements & Traditional Affairs, Mr Basikopo Makamu on Friday, March 31.
The rain did not stop the jubilant community members from turning up in their thousands to see their king being inaugurated and they erupted as he took the stage to be handed over the certificate of recognition as the new leader of Ga-Sekororo.
A multitude gathered in the tents from the early hours of Friday morning and the rain did not dampen the joyous mood.
Young and old danced and sang to the trumpet of a band for hours through a huge downpour, with the weather clearing only minutes before the official event began.
Dignitiries that grace the event amongst others was MEC for Public Works Nkankareng Rakgoale, Mayor of Maruleng municipality Cllr Tsheko Musolwa, Modjadji royal council, leadership of the province and local councillors.
