JJ Menu, a mother to all children laid to rest

SERALA VIEW: “Mme o be a rata bana ka moka, esego rena fela”, these are the words that reduced mourners to tears as one of JJ Menu’s sons uttered them.

This as he was describing how loving his mother was while giving a speech at the funeral service held in Serala View Today

Mourners from far and wide, varying from colleagues and the loyal listeners of Thobela FM converged at Serala View to bid farewell to the 39-year-old radio personality.

Sebolaishi Johanna Seloga, commonly known as ‘JJ Menu’ succumbed to an undisclosed illness on Monday in hospital.

‘JJ Menu’s husband, Isaiah Seloga [ 45 ] said his wife was a great human being who loved kids wholeheartedly.

“I’ll remember her as a good mother to our kids. She was also a good wife to me.”

“What I loved about her is that she loved kids with all her heart. She did a lot of great programmes that helped kids unite with her Sunday school competitions,” he said.

Her love for kids was seen frequently as she hosted a kiddies programme ‘Lesang Bana’ on Sundays from 07: 00 to 08: 00.

JJ Menu leaves behind three children and has been laid to rest at Silicon Cemetery in Polokwane.
