BURGERSFORT– A chilling discovery was made on Wednesday, 26 June 2024, when initiates at an initiation school in the Stocking Mbabalelo bushes stumbled upon human remains.
The initiates, who were out gathering firewood, uncovered a skull and several other bones, accompanied by male and female clothing.
The clothing items found at the scene included a pair of grey trousers, a red jersey, grey socks, and a traditional grey women’s outfit. This mix of clothing suggests that the remains may belong to both a male and a female individual.
Local authorities have indicated that the bones appear to have been at the site for a significant amount of time, although the exact duration is yet to be determined. The discovery has raised many questions and sparked an investigation into the identities of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
