MOKGOLOBOTO-Makhensi Mpenyana (36) is a destitute young man living alone in adverse poverty, in Mokgoloboto village, Greater Tzaneen, after he was kicked out of his home by his family.
Mpenyana has consequently taken refuge in the wilderness close to the Ngomana dam that overflow during peak rain season.
Mokgoloboto community forum members Euven Ratopola and Lerato Moila told Tzaneen Voice that they were on a routine patrol when they discovered the young man and immediately set up plans to give him aid.

“As a community forum, we go over and above the call of duty to alleviate the plight of the community. This case is one of the many that we deal with on a daily. We have engaged with the tribal office to allocate a stand for him. Hopefully, he will get help from good Samaritans and perhaps even a proper house “, Ratopola said.

Moila reiterated that she has known Mpenyana for a long time and that he is mentally stable. However, she emphasized that Mpenyana desperately needs all the help he can get.
Mokgoloboto ward Councillor Masinge Ngungunyane was contacted. He vowed that he will work for hand in glove with the community forum to facilitate the process to ensure that Mpenyana is helped.
