POLOKWANE-An ecstatic Hlaluko Charity Sambo from Mhinga village in Malamulele under Collins Chabane has been crowned Miss Limpopo 2023-2024 at the spectacular pageant finale.
The annual prestigious beauty pageant event was held at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane.
The 20-year-old dazzling flower is currently studying Law at the University of Johannesburg and she believes that she stands for Advocacy for Youth Empowerment and Education.
Mayor of Collins Chabane Local Municipality Cllr Shadrack Maluleke extended his congratulatory message to the 20-year-old beauty queen.
“On behalf of Collins Chabane Local Municipality, we are proud that one of the daughters of the soil Hlaluko Charity Sambo has emerged as the first title holder of the crown Miss Limpopo pageant”
“This triggers us to pay more attention to youth development, skills and arts and culture as you will remember that we recently celebrated Miss Intercontinental South Africa who comes from GreenFarm village under Collins Chabane Local Municipality”
While we urge our entrepreneurs to always take advantage of events of this extent given their potential to contribute positively towards the growth of the local economy since it attracts more people from outside, we also encourage the youth of our Municipality to participate in culture and arts opportunities presented before them, which will in medium to long term period result in their talents and dynamisms being unleashed and hugely rewarded.
We have an Arts and Culture unit in the Municipality which is always available to join hands with all different pageants and groupings and we believe that the management team of our Miss Limpopo will be meeting with the unit for plans that seek to develop and educate our young people in various societal matters.
She was previously crowned Miss Junno Queen 2020, Miss Classic Phiphidi Second Princess 2021, Miss Thohoyandou 2021 Ambassador and Miss Mhinga 2021 First Princess.
Sambo joins the likes of Shudufhadzo Musida who is the former Miss South Africa, Nikiwe Makondo who is the current Miss Intercontinental South Africa, Dinah Ndavani who is the Current Miss Collins Chabane Local Municipality and Tinyiko Hlaiseka the former Miss Collins Chabane and we believe that joining hands together they can make Collins Chabane Local Municipality an epicentre of Youth development.
