Gunmen kill two people in ‘random’ tavern shootings in Malamulele

MALAMULELE, JUNE 2: The Police in Limpopo are investigating an incident that left two people dead while six sustained injuries.

The Incident took place in a tavern at Malamulele on Thursday 01 June 2023 at about 20:00.

It is alleged that, plus or minus 8 unknown males came to the tavern and without any warning on their arrival they started to shoot randomly.

During the shooting, the suspects shot eight people, two of them succumbed due to gunshot wounds at the scene.

Six of them were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Several Cartridges fired from a pistol were found scattered on the scene of the crime

It is further suggested that the suspects left the scene with two double-cab motor vehicles. The motive for the shooting and the subsequent killing of some of the patrons is not known.
