TZANEEN-Today the Mayoress of the Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Matokane Molapisane, donated baby hampers to babies born on Christmas day in all three public hospitals in the Greater Tzaneen Municipality.
There were 11 babies born by midday, with seven (7) at Letaba Hospital, two (2) at Van Velden Hospital, and two (2) at Dr CN Phatudi Hospital.
Addressing the mothers of the newborns, the Mayoress said, “Please raise these kids next to the Lord, be the best parents that you can be because a lot of people are crying out there because they can’t get kids.”
She wished the mothers the best journey in motherhood
“May the Lord bless you and do good by you. From all of us, we would like to say that we love you and please have a good journey in your motherhood”.
The Mayoress only visited Letaba Hospital before visiting Mopye Village, where she donated more hampers to a mother who gave birth to triplets. The Mayoress handed over hampers to Van Velden and Dr. CN Phatudi, representatives at Letaba Hospital.
The Mayoress was in the company of the Head of Special Programmes, Councillor Maggy Makwala, Councillor Makoma Morwasetla, and Councillor Mihloti Shingange.
