GTM Mayor Hands Over Grass Cutting To Clean CN Phatudi Hospital

MAKHUBIDUNG VILLAGE-The Mayor of Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Councillor Maripe Mangena handed over grass cutting and bush clearing equipment to a clean-up programme at Dr. CN Phatudi Hospital.  . The programme will see parolees help cut overgrown grass and do a general cleaning of the hospital.
The municipality has partnered with the Department of Correctional Service and Dr. CN Phatudi Hospital.
 The tools handed over by the Mayor include brush cutters, spades, rakes, and chemicals for clearing the bush.
“Dr. C.N. Phatudi Hospital will never be the same again,” said the Mayor. The Mayor said that the programme was announced by the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services,  Ronald Lamola during the official opening of the refurbished Tzaneen Correctional Service Centre last year.
Annah Shobane, the Senior Correctional Officer from Correctional Service said that the department has allocated 21 male parolees and 2 women parolees on the Dr. CN Phatudi programme.
The Acting CEO of the hospital, ” I will make sure that the hospital is safe and clean.  “Having the right tools of the trade to do the job was important for the hospital”, he concluded
