NOBODY: The Sethe family is devastated following the latest developments by the Department of Transport and Community Safety regarding a fatal accident that claimed the lives of 9 members this past weekend.
This follows a tragic accident on the N1 road between Mookgophong and Mokopane on Saturday night.
A white 10 – seater Toyota Venture was travelling towards Polokwane when it lost control as a result of a tyre burst and collided head-on with a truck which was travelling towards Gauteng.
The crash claimed all nine members of the Sethe family, who were travelling to Nobody from Diepsloot to attend a wedding.
Among the deceased includes four children, one male adult – who was the driver and four female adults.
A case of culpable homicide has been opened at Mookgophong police station.
The Department further confirmed that they have instituted an intervention mechanism to assist the family with funeral arrangements.
