MAMAILA-The Mayor of Greater Letaba Municipality, Cllr Dagma Mamanyoha has today hosted lunch with top performing learners in the municipality at Nahakwa lodge at Ga mamaila.
The top performing learners that were hosted together with their parents and ward councillors are Godiso Maduwa, Malehu Sharlot Mohale from Sekgosese High School and Khanyisa Mathe from Makala secondary school.
In his remarks, the mayor conveyed his gratitude toward the work the learners have put in obtaining the best marks on the 2022 matric results.
“Unfortunately I can’t sing, but this is one of the happiest days of my life. We stand here excited and very happy as parents and leaders of society. You have made us very proud”. Said the Mayor.
The Mayor thanked the teachers, the principals, the traditional leadership, the parents and the community for the support they provided to the learners during their matric studies.
The Mayor gifted the learners with laptops, tablets, a cash voucher and a bursary scheme for the Mayor.
