The Great North Transport has expressed their deepest condolences after an accident involving their bus and a sedan claimed 2 lives and left 17 others injured on the road from Giyani to Nsami earlier today.
The 17 injured passengers were rushed to Khensani Hospital in Giyani while 2 other people, unfortunately, died on the scene.
According to the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety, preliminary investigations revealed speeding as a possible cause of the accident as it is believed that the driver of the GNT bus was trying to overtake two vehicles at the same time and hit the on the coming sedan.
GNT spokesperson Patrick Monkoe says they are still waiting for outcomes of accident investigations from the police, and can only respond further on the accident after receiving a factual report.
