Gospel artist Ngwako Boima on how Oleseng Shuping inspired him

BOLOBEDUA 23-year-old gospel artist emerged a breakthrough in the music industry in 2018. Ngwako Boima, from Mopye village in Bolobedu South.
He mentioned that a gospel artist from Lephalale requested his audio clip via WhatsApp and that was the beginning of his recognition.
Ngwako said at the age of seven years, he would mimic the late Oleseng Shuping. It did not occur to him at the time that it was a gift he had to pursue. As the years progressed, the love and passion grew and Derick Machaba began to nurture his talent and encouraged him to forge ahead. “My love for singing grew greatly from then on and I haven’t looked back since. In July 2018 I released my first album titled dira di tsogile maatla, which was an instant hit. On the song I featured a group of backing artists called Dimonya.” reflected Ngwako.
The humble singer credits the power of God, passion hard work and dedication to his success.”I encourage young upcoming artists to have passion, work hard for their dreams. The money will be added as a bonus,” he added.
He further mentioned that the journey has not been easy, it came with challenges and rocky as he had financial constraints and naysayers discrediting his work, nonetheless, Ngwako remained undeterred.
He is currently working on his second album at 8bar studios in Tzaneen, a small recording label that is still trying to get off the ground.
