GIYANI-The police in Giyani have arrested Most wanted Suspect forbRape, Robberies, Assault Grievous bodily harm and assaults common on Monday, April 17.
Members of crime intelligence and Giyani detectives follow up on the information that led them to the whereabouts of the suspect in Siyandhani village outside Giyani.
Upon their arrival at the suspect house, the suspect tried to evade the house after he realised the police and they managed to grab him before he went out from his RDP house
He was arrested together with three co -suspects males and two females, the females are suspects and are believed to be a girlfriend of these two male suspects or partners in crime. The two females are from Makosha village and one of them was a grade 12 learner at Makovongo high school during the academic year 2022.
Upon searching the RDP house the police recovered the 1xNorico pistol,1xblack plastic toy gun and 09x cellphones.
This 26 year -old Suspect was wanted for above mentioned cases around Giyani and Gauteng in the Thembhisa area.
The suspect will appear before the Giyani Magistrate court on Wednesday 19 April 2023 facing a case of possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, Possession of suspected stolen property. More charges are expected to be added.
