GIYANI – Twenty (20) suspects who were part of the twenty-three (23) arrested the following vigilante and mob justice incidents that took place at Gandlanani village on Sunday, 18 October 2020 have today appeared in the Giyani magistrate’s court on charges of Murder, Arson, Malicious damage to property and Public violence.
Three other suspects were released after the available evidence could not link them to the crimes committed.
The following suspects, nineteen(19) males, and one(01) female made their first court appearance:
Oscar Mabunda (25), Lesley Maluleke (30), Robert Ngobeni (31), Eddy Ngobeni (36), Hlulani Chabalala (28), Rodney Makhubele (32), David Ndlovu (38), Winners Ngobeni (25), Claud Mabunda (25), James Mahumani (38),Katekani Baloyi (37), Sebenzile Mathebula (38), Organize Baloyi (26), Sevha Makhubele (47), Isaiah Mabasa (35), Orlando Shishoke (32),Nkosinathi Vukeya (22), Easy one Mbhiza (20) and Katetani Mbhiza 40 (female).
All 20 suspects were denied bail and their cases were postponed to 27 October 2020 for further police investigations
