SANTENG: The community of Santeng in Bothashoek in Sekhukhune District is still reeling following the death of a grade 10 learner.
The death of Pholoso Mahlako Mthembu a learner at Molomohlapi High School in Maruleng Municipality has again highlighted the problem of bullying in schools.
She allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday, the 24th of May.
According to one of the witness, a group of girls waited for her on her way home after School and ganged up to bully her.
“When she got home, she committed suicide” she said
Her devastated family member is demanding that bullying at schools must be addressed to prevent similar tragedies.
Before her death, she spoke openly about the bullying she endured on social media platforms.
The Limpopo Department of Education are yet to comment on this tragedy.
