Ga-Sekororo Born Rugby Star Joins Baie Mare in Romania

GA-SEKORORO-Kefentse Mahlo join Baie Mare in Romania in a two years contract. The 28 years old South African winger/ defender/ fullback/ Scrum-half, he is the 5th successful transfer by team.

Mahlo was born and bred at Moshate Ga-Sekororo, under Maruleng Municipality played from 2014 until last year for the strong Blue Bulls team from South Africa. He Marked a participation in a Super Rugby match in the period 2016 – 2017 for the Bulls, evolving in the rest of the years in the Currie Cup for the South African team.

He has already made an appearance in the colours of the team last year in South Africa in the Toyota Challenge. He was the only scorer of the team in the match against Cheetahs, score 54-5 for the hosts.

Mahlo made his first-class debut for the Blue Bulls during the 2014 Vodacom Cup competition, coming on as a second-half replacement in their match against the Griffons in Welkom and helping the side to a 49–0 victory. He scored his first senior try in their next match, getting one of eighteen tries in their 116–0 demolition of Mahlo’s former side, the Limpopo Blue Bulls. He made a third substitute appearance in their 15–16 loss to the Golden Lions in the semi-final of the competition.

Mahlo ended the season with six tries to his name, the top try scorer for the Blue Bulls, and he received the Vodacom Cup Players’ Player of the Year award at the Blue Bulls’ end-of-year’s awards ceremony in December 2015.
