POLOKWANE-Nkhensani Shai 23, from Ga Sekororo Mahlomelong Village in ward 14 in Maruleng Municipality crowned Miss LIM 2022- Leaders Ignite Manifest
The Inaugural Miss LIM was held at the Ramblers club Bloemfontein on Saturday,July 03.
The pageant which is the brainchild of Tony Thokwane and Monica Mokone was mainly started to contribute to the economy and youth employment. Thokwane and Mokone said they awarded high prize money in an effort to change the winner’s life and give them an opportunity to change their lives.
In our interview with her she “said that the reason I entered is to be an inspiration to young people, especially those in the village because I know how it can be to have dreams and aspirations when they seem so out of reach. But my life is a testament that anything is possible”
The pageant is run from the two founder’s pockets with no sponsors and they are calling on sponsors to partner with them to grow the brand and change the lives of young people.
Nkhensani Shai who was the Queen walked away with R40 000 cash, Therron Shikhibana the 1st princess received R20 000 and Mathabo Koloti the 2nd Princess walked away with R10 000 cash.
Mahlomelong Village is blessed with two princesses which Mathabo Matlou who was also crowned International Junior Miss South Africa 2022/2023.Miss South Africa Junior was held in Gauteng on 27 June to 2 July 2022.
